Dry pastures, what to do?

The prolonged drought has severely affected our pastures and meadows. The parched and grazed meadows hardly provide enough grass to serve as a supply basis for the horses in the pasture.

The Mifuma Heucobs are a wonderful roughage alternative. The hay for our Heucobs is harvested from species-rich natural meadows and then gently dried and pelleted. This way, the nutrients in the grasses and herbs are preserved. The molasses-free Heucobs are a valuable source of raw fiber for every horse and are perfectly suitable as a hay substitute.

Those who prefer to rely on alfalfa as roughage will find a great product in our Alfalfa Mix, made from pure, freshly harvested alfalfa, refined with valuable oil. The high raw fiber content promotes the digestive physiological processes of the horse. The natural protein of alfalfa, with many essential amino acids, is characterized by high digestibility and reduces the risk of colic. Alfalfa is particularly valued in horse feeding due to its low starch and sugar content and its many natural vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. The addition of valuable plant oils increases the energy content and provides the animal with important fatty acids.
