Take Off into the Racing Pigeon Travel Season 2023
It's February again. The rest phase is over, and with it the time for nutrient-reduced feed. For all racing pigeon enthusiasts, this means: It's high time to think about the feeding concept for the travel pigeons. At Mifuma, we not only offer our travel concepts as a small planning aid, in which we explain the recommended use of our pigeon feed. No, we also asked renowned breeders how they use the Mifuma racing pigeon feed. And indeed, they revealed some insider tips to us.
The Travel Feed Plan: Fat-Rich Components in the Travel Mix for More Stamina and Energy
On strenuous competitive flights, pigeons primarily need sufficient energy to perform at their best. They get this energy largely from fat-rich food. Therefore, our three travel feeds Relax, Energy, and Power-Mix contain, depending on the composition, safflower, hemp, perilla, and the particularly fat-rich Top Corn. This has a fat content of 8%, which is twice as high as conventional corn. In this feeding plan, the energy amount is steadily increased towards the end of the week, so that the pigeons are in top form just in time for the competition flight and can draw on their energy reserves. When feeding with the Power-Mix, as racing pigeon feed throughout the week, as practiced by Alfred Berger, paddy rice can be added depending on the day of the week and the intensity of the flight.
New in the Mifuma Pigeon Program: Elite Racing in Collaboration with Robert Maaß
This year, a new racing pigeon feed product awaits all pigeon sports enthusiasts. The travel feed Elite Racing, which we have developed in collaboration with top breeder and convinced Mifuma feeder Robert Maaß. The all-in-one feed for the whole week makes mixing and weighing individual components unnecessary. After all, it is already equipped with a high hemp content and the energy-rich Top Corn in its composition. As the only feed in the range, the Aktiv Perle is already mixed in here. Robert Maaß has already used this travel all-round mix in the past season with success: 1st place in the Aktion-Mensch-Race as well as 1st place in the RV Championship of the association and the first places in the regional association and the RV reflect his great performance.
For Breeders with Their Own Ideas
Breeders who want to create their own feeding plan will find further alternatives in our pigeon program with which they can feed their pigeons individually. For example, there is the energy bundle Triumph. The carbohydrate-rich and small-grained mixed feed recharges the pigeons' batteries after the competitive flights. Milk thistle seeds help support the liver and thus contribute to quick regeneration. And there is also the all-purpose weapon Grand Prix. The travel feed with easily digestible power peas is particularly suitable for mid-week. It is especially popular with breeders who do not want to do without legumes in their racing pigeon feed and rely on energy supply through particularly high protein content.
L-Carnitine as the Icing on the Cake
If you want to give your pigeons an extra energy boost, we recommend our proven Aktiv Perle. The small pelleted grain contains an extra dose of L-carnitine and helps the birds, the females, and also the young pigeons to achieve long-lasting form, quick regeneration, and more joy in flying.
What Makes Mifuma Racing Pigeon Feed Special?
Not only the exclusive components, such as the pearls, the Top Corn, or the power peas make Mifuma's pigeon feed so special. We consciously refrain from adding oils to bind dust, instead offering breeders a natural and germinable mixed feed. To ensure sufficient, fiber-rich supply, our pigeon feeds contain wheat and barley, because this way the pigeon friend can directly see when the barley remains in the trough, the pigeons are well-fed and have the power they need for the competition flight.
