Lucerne is particularly valued in horse feeding due to its low starch and sugar content and the many natural vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. The addition of valuable plant oils increases the energy content and provides the animal with important fatty acids.

Luzerne Mix can be partially used as a hay substitute or to enhance the hay ration, especially with nutrient-poor hay. It promotes chewing activity when mixed with crib feed and, in combination with grains, is gentle on the stomach. It is also suitable for feeding hard-to-feed animals. The low glycemic index of lucerne supports protein and energy supply in horses with certain metabolic disorders without additional burdens.
