Horse feed

At Mifuma, you will find high-quality horse feed with all the important vitamins and minerals, which can be tailored to the individual needs of the animal. Our range for horses offers a selection of supplementary feeds such as mueslis, pellets, and mash, as well as many single feeds like hay cobs, corn and barley flakes, as well as mineral feed and salt licks.

Horse Feed for the Entire Horse Life

With our feeding program, all horses can be fed healthily and appropriately, from sporty, active horses to sensitive horses with intolerances to seniors. For the species-appropriate feeding of your horses, in addition to always available, clean drinking water, an adequate amount of high-quality roughage such as hay, haylage, and straw is the most important. We recommend a minimum offer of 1.2 – 1.5 kg per 100 kg of body weight to ensure both the health and well-being of your horses.

The basic roughage ration is then completed with a Mifuma horse muesli or pellets and, if necessary, with additional supplementary feeds such as mineral feed. The choice of feed and the amount to be used are determined by the needs of your horses. This results from the need for pure maintenance and the requirements for performance.

The Mifuma horse muesli is rich in structure and crude fiber to relieve the sensitive digestive system. In addition to sufficient roughage, the right horse feed is a matter of individual performance and the needs of your horses. Therefore, horse lovers will find horse mueslis with grain in our range, but also grain-free feeds and supplementary feeds. We place special emphasis on the highest quality of raw materials up to the finished feed, which is why all our horse feeds carry the "Without Genetic Engineering" logo.

Feed for Leisure Horses

The needs of leisure horses can be met with our range of horse muesli and our pellets. All feeds are fed as supplementary feeds to good roughage such as hay, hay cobs, or haylage. The mueslis and pellets, such as our Apfel Müsli or our Freizeit Pellet, are equipped with important vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Horses with lower energy and protein needs can be offered our Mineral Premium Mineral feed or our Müsli getreidefrei. The less crib feed a horse receives, the more mineral feed it needs!

The actual needs of one's own horses are often greatly overestimated. A distinction is made between pure maintenance needs and performance needs. The maintenance need indicates how much feed the horse needs to exist or maintain all important functions. The performance need is based on the additional energy for performances, such as growth, milk, or movement performance. To calculate the feed ration that your horses should consume daily, you need to look very closely at the needs. Most horses are energetically oversupplied because their feed needs are incorrectly estimated or overestimated by the owners.

Horse Feed for Sport and Active Horses

Strength and endurance are crucial for active horses and sport horses. To meet the nutrient needs, you can combine our pellets and horse muesli with supplementary feed and additional feed or mineral feed for healthy tendons and joints and make your own concentrate feed mix. Individual feeds such as corn or barley flakes also increase energy. This way, your horses receive the right concentrate feed in combination with good roughage.

You can particularly support your horse in training and during the tournament season with our Linamix. After all, it ensures better muscle building and maintenance. Strength, endurance, and also the willingness to perform of your horses are promoted by omega-3 fatty acids and isomaltulose. They also support quick regeneration, meaning your horses are fit and ready to train again faster after a strenuous tournament weekend. Linamix is used in addition to normal feed. Picky eaters are delighted with our mash after a tournament weekend.

Feed for Horses with Special Needs

The choice of the right horse feed is particularly important for horses with special needs due to their health, such as intolerances, allergies, or gastrointestinal or stomach problems.

The demand for grain-free feed is increasing in horse feed. Our Müsli getreidefrei, for example, comes without grain and the addition of sugar and molasses. However, this feed is rich in alfalfa, timothy grass, and pea flakes. The included linseed supports the health of the stomach and digestive tract. In addition, it contains - like all our horse feeds - important vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, such as zinc, for a long horse life. Thus, it is ideal for horses with grain intolerances.

Our Kräuter Mash is rich in herbs and meets the needs of old and convalescent horses. But it is also suitable for horses that should receive a delicious feed in between. The tasty mash can be fed warm in winter and refreshingly cool in summer. Our mash can also be useful when the horses come from the pasture to the stable in autumn. The mash prevents digestive disorders and is a boon for the horses on damp, cold autumn days.

Supplementary Feed and Treats for Horses - Feed for Special Needs

Sometimes it can be a little more for the horses - more vitamins, minerals, or just a little more affection. This supports digestion and metabolism as well as various processes in the animal's body. Therefore, our horse feed range is rounded off by various supplementary feeds.

Our Linamix as a high-quality protein supplement without grain is particularly suitable for breeding and strong muscles as well as healthy fur and beautiful skin. We especially recommend Linamix during the coat change as a supplement to horse muesli and concentrate feed.

The individual feeds carrot, corn, and barley flakes as well as the Mineral Premium mineral feed enhance the feed ration, cover special needs, and prevent nutrient deficiencies. High-quality roughage belongs on the horse's menu daily. Our Luzerne Mix can be fed as a hay substitute or roughage supplement.

Of course, big sweet tooths also get their money's worth. With our Apple-Carrot Treat and the Herbal Treat without grain and sugar addition, you give your horse a delicious reward in between.
