Golden Victory Ring, National Winner and German Champion
Alexander Haßelmann
Alexander Haßelmann began breeding purebred poultry at the age of nine. His first breed was black German Wyandotte bantams. In 2011, however, he turned his attention entirely to pigeon breeding and started with Dutch beauty pigeons. Two years later, the next breed moved into his loft: Sevillano croppers. In order to become more familiar with the diversity of breeds, he bred numerous pigeon breeds over the years. He has been active as a judge since 2017 and has successfully passed exams for all pigeon groups as well as for chickens, bantams, large poultry, and waterfowl. As a result, German dwarf Wyandottes and Emden geese have found their way back into his breeding facility.
Today, he breeds Dutch beauty carrier pigeons, Sevillano and Jiennense croppers, Old Dutch Capuchins, German dwarf Wyandottes in silver-black laced, and Emden geese. The main focus is clearly on Dutch beauty carrier pigeons, with which he has already become German champion twelve times. Other major successes include winning the Golden Winner's Ring in 2023, the title of National Champion, multiple SV championships, and numerous district and club championships. “The feed has to be right. I attach particular importance to high-quality feed with balanced ingredients and competent advice,” explains Haßelmann.
