Daniel Rist has been breeding pedigree poultry for 32 years. Together with his wife, he breeds various Thuringian colored pigeons and Strassers. The pigeons are fed the Breeding + Moulting Premium mixture throughout the year, and during the moulting season I also add Moulting Vital. “I feed these varieties because they are very varied and balanced, with a good balance of vitamins and proteins. The seeds are also not neglected,” reports Rist.
“I am enthusiastic about breeding purebred pigeons all year round, whether it's selecting breeding stock, raising the young birds, or preparing the pigeons for exhibition. I am fascinated by the enormous variety and color palette of purebred pigeons, which range from small to large and from delicate to robust,” explains Rist.
Daniel is a trained judge for groups B-M and is now the breeding supervisor for white-based Thuringian colored pigeons. His successes include multiple European champions and European champions, multiple German champions, multiple SV champions, and many SV and VDT ribbons. But his greatest success was the VDT Champion 2025 in Erfurt.
