European Champion and Golden Ring

Serge Paschke

“My passion for pigeon breeding began when I was around ten years old,” recalls Serge Paschke. “My first birds were simple bell pigeons, which I bought in 1972. But soon I wanted more—I wanted purebred birds.” He was particularly fascinated by Pomeranian and Ghent pigeons. “These breeds have stayed with me to this day,” he reports.

“I joined the Bouzonville Association back in 1972. I was its secretary general from 1978 to 1998, and from 1999 to 2024 I was technical director and vaccination manager of the pigeon department. I have also been vice president since 2013.” Working with young people is also close to his heart: “I regularly give educational courses at schools. It is important to me that young people learn about the fascination of pigeon breeding.”

His commitment extends far beyond Bouzonville: “I am also active in other associations: I have been a member of the Mosel Pigeon Association since 1977 (accessory from 2002 to 2018), a member of the Bassin Houiller Pigeon Club from 1978 to 2003, a founding member of the Gantois Club in Germany in 1987, club delegate for France since 1995, and technical manager of the Gantois Club from 2001 to 2011, producing the bulletin in German and French.”

Paschke looks back with pride on numerous successes: “My pigeons have won numerous titles and awards at the biggest European exhibitions, including gold ring victories and several individual and collection titles as European champion in Chambéry, Cologne, Leipzig, Nitra, Merelbeke, Metz, and Herning.”

He also has a clear approach to feed: “I have been feeding my Genter Kröpfer pigeons with BETZ and now Mifuma for 45 years. Klassik Mais Vital is ideal for me: high quality, clean, and optimal for breeding.”
