This includes not only clean housing to avoid dirt in the coat, but also regular grooming and trimming of claws. It is equally important to handle the rabbits from an early stage, so they become tame and accustomed to being presented at shows.
Choosing the right rabbit feed is also part of show preparation, as it allows you to influence the physical development of the animals. The premium feed Mifuma Zucht + Schau has been specially developed to meet the increased requirements for vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. We recommend feeding it at least eight weeks before the show, depending on body weight. The high calcium content supports growth. Sulfur containing amino acids such as cysteine and methionine, together with plant oils, contribute to excellent coat quality and shine. In addition, oregano supports the immune system and has a positive effect on digestion.
Linamix® is a highly effective complementary feed for show preparation. It is fed for six to eight weeks before the show alongside pellets and roughage. The linseed extrudate has a visible effect on coat quality, shine, and skin condition. The high vitamin E content supports the nervous system and helps rabbits stay calm in stressful situations such as shows. Linamix® also supports digestion and the immune system.
During the show, Mifuma Knabber-Max is an excellent choice. The pressed block, measuring 7 cm thick and 15 cm long, ensures feeding throughout the exhibition days while also providing activity for the animals. Gnawing supports natural tooth wear.
