This includes, in addition to clean housing (to avoid stall dirt in the fur), regular grooming and trimming of the claws. It is also important to engage with the rabbits from the beginning, making the animals tame and trusting and teaching them to present themselves at the shows.
Part of the preparation for the shows is also choosing the right rabbit food, with which you can additionally influence the physical development of the show animals. The premium feed Mifuma Zucht + Schau was specially developed to meet the increased need for vitamins, minerals, and trace elements of the rabbits. We recommend using this feed at least 8 weeks before the show date, depending on body weight. The high calcium content supports healthy growth. The sulfur-containing amino acids cysteine and methionine, as well as the included vegetable oils, ensure excellent fur quality and a beautiful shine. Additionally, oregano promotes the immune system and has a positive effect on the digestive system.
Linamix® is the particularly efficient supplementary feed for show preparation. It is offered 6-8 weeks before the show in addition to pellet and roughage feed. The linseed extrudate has a visibly positive effect on fur quality, shine, and skin health. The high content of vitamin E is intended to strengthen the nervous system and help the rabbit remain calm in stressful situations, such as the show. As rabbit food during the show, you are spot on with Mifuma Knabber-Max. The 7 cm thick and 15 cm long pressed block not only ensures supply throughout the exhibition days but also offers a great activity opportunity for the animals. By gnawing, it also has a positive effect on tooth abrasion.
