“Without Genetic Engineering” with Certainty

Whether rabbit feed, chicken feed, or horse mueslis, a large part of the pellets and mixtures from Mifuma are labeled with the "Non-GMO" logo. We place the highest value on the quality of our animal feed. This begins with the selected and strictly controlled raw materials and components that we process.

Many people value healthy nutrition and sustainable food production, and they choose products with the "non-GMO" label when shopping. Why should one settle for less when it comes to feed for rabbits, guinea pigs, and horses? Especially self-sufficient individuals who keep chickens and produce their own eggs receive products from Mifuma that are made without genetically modified components.

Certification of our feed by the "Association for Food without Genetic Engineering"

The Association for Food without Genetic Engineering introduced a general guideline and the accompanying "Non-GMO" seal in 2013 to provide consumers with more security and transparency. At that time, the mixed feed plants in Mannheim and thus the brand "Mifuma" were among the first feed manufacturers to be awarded this logo and allowed to use it on packaging and in advertising.

Meanwhile, the old logo may only be used in the food sector and has likely been noticed by many consumers on various dairy products, for example. For feed, the "VLOG geprüft" logo was introduced. The Mifuma "Non-GMO" logo is located at the top right on the front and back of our bags. However, the strict EU guidelines for it remain the same.

To continue using this logo, we are subject to regular and strict controls, which are only conducted by independent certification bodies. For this, both our company and production must comply with the guidelines of the EC Genetic Engineering Implementation Act (EGGenTDurchfG).

High-quality livestock feed "GMO-free" or NK (not subject to labeling)

We also produce many of our livestock feeds "Non-GMO". This means that our cattle, pig, and poultry feeds can be used to produce food without genetic engineering. The feeds are therefore "GMO-free" or "NK" (not subject to labeling) if the feed contains the corresponding "VLOG geprüft" label on the packaging. Accordingly, farmers can use these feeds, which are labeled with the "VLOG geprüft" logo, with a clear conscience when they resell their meat, dairy products, and eggs as "Non-GMO".
