Rabbit food from Mifuma

Rabbit food can promote the vitality of rabbits. Breeders and owners therefore swear by Mifuma's rabbit food for feeding. No matter what type of dry food you are looking for for your rabbits, you will find many different foods with us that your rabbits will love. All our foods meet the nutritional, vitamin and mineral requirements of rabbits.

Mifuma rabbit food combines practice and science

Our pellets, as well as our muesli and structured rabbit food, are developed together by feeding experts and breeders who have the best possible nutrition for rabbits in mind. The rabbit foods are rich in crude fiber and ideally complement the diet. Your rabbits should also always have fresh water and good hay available. Because hay offers rabbits a high crude fiber content. If there is no good hay available in your region, we offer you numerous rabbit foods that can supplement the hay and have a comparably high crude fiber content – such as our alfalfa mix.

Feeding rabbits - but correctly!

Rabbits should be fed according to their breed. Therefore, it makes sense to weigh the right amount of dry food - whether pellet or muesli - so that the rabbits receive all components in the right measure. If your rabbits receive fresh food, such as vegetables, fruits, leaves, grasses or herbs, you should slightly reduce the amount of dry food. In the wild, the animals also have plenty of rabbit food available. But for those who do not have so much green food from the garden, our food can provide a varied diet for their rabbits.

The right rabbit food for every life stage

As soon as the young rabbits eat from the mother's bowl, they should be fed with one of our special foods for rearing, EnteroCare, Forte or Mini. The contents of protein, starch and sugar are particularly low, while the crude fiber content is particularly high. Another valuable supplement is the Knabber-Max: No sugar is added here, and the crude fiber content is also high. Young rabbits can eat this all day long. Knabber-Max is a good supplement to hay or even a replacement due to its crude fiber content. Vegetables like cabbage (bloating effect) and fruits like apples (high sugar content) should be avoided during this time to promote the health of the young animals. Small portions of fresh food like fennel or blackberry leaves can complement the diet. A good source of crude fiber like hay and, of course, always fresh water are essential.

Completely supplied with the Mifuma rabbit food program

Our classic products Basis, Plus and Kombi ideally supply your rabbits in maintenance, show, and breeding preparation. For variety on the menu, for example, our Mifuma Kräuter with herbs like Oregano, calendula, wormwood, nettle, myrtle and Iceland moss or our Herb-Flower Mix with herbs, marigold flowers, grasses and dried carrots. Mifuma Multi and Struktur-Muesli are also muesli dry foods that any adult rabbit can eat. Balance is a food that offers a low energy content but a high crude fiber and crude protein content and is suitable for any animal, even those with a bit too much weight.

Special products ideally complement our rabbit food

Not only with fresh food but also with our supplementary feeds can you complete the food offer. Here we offer you a wide selection for your individual feeding.

Crude fiber-rich food as a supplement or alternative to hay

The Mifuma Knabber-Max is a thick pressling that young and old animals can have on their menu all day long. It has a particularly high crude fiber content, making it an ideal supplement or replacement for hay. It comes without added sugar and molasses. It also contains herbs like Oregano, calendula, wormwood, nettle, myrtle and Iceland moss.

Our alfalfa mix is also naturally rich in crude fiber. Due to its valuable components, this roughage is ideally suited for enhancing the hay ration. Alfalfa is rich in natural vitamins and trace elements.

Vital, fertile does and bucks through targeted nutrition

The best of fresh carrots can be found in Mifuma Möhrenkorn. You give this food in addition to the rabbit food ration. Unlike fresh carrots, this dried product is particularly well-preserved. The high natural content of beta-carotene not only promotes fertility but is also good for eyes and coat.

Speaking of fertility: Our supplementary food Zucht Perle is the ultimate during the breeding season. Does and bucks become heated, and litter size is increased. The base grain of Zucht Perle is peeled oats. This grain is gently coated with a nutrient mass. The nutrient content of the grain and the vitamin-mineral mixture of the coating are fully preserved.

Linamix, our extrudate from linseed, is grain-free and should not be missing in the feeding of pregnant does and show preparation. But be careful, this food is only used as a supplement in small amounts and should not be fed to young animals. Omega-3 fatty acids promote coat shine and, in combination with a prebiotic, a stable digestive system. This efficient grain-free rabbit food should not be missing in any rabbit hutch.

Individual components from grains round off the offer

Oat flakes are hydrothermally processed. This well-tolerated grain enriches the food offer, because the mucilages are beneficial for the stomach and intestines. In addition, oat flakes serve as a source of vitamins, trace elements and unsaturated fatty acids. Here, one should not be skeptical of the grain, as it can have a very positive effect on intestinal health.

Our barley flakes are also particularly stomach-friendly. Due to the hydrothermal processing, this grain is also particularly well-tolerated and creates a positive effect on intestinal health with its prebiotic active ingredients.

The mix makes the difference in rabbit food

Grasses, herbs, fruits and vegetables from the wild also offer vitamins and minerals as rabbit food. Therefore, you can also combine our rabbit food well with fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, leaves and grasses. Mifuma rabbit foods offer the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that a rabbit needs. If you want to use green food, gradually increase the amounts of fresh components in your rabbits' diet.

Be careful when choosing fresh food components

Bloating vegetables like cabbage can be problematic rabbit food for young animals and lead to intestinal problems. This vegetable is very suitable for adult rabbits in moderation. Occasionally, fruits like apples in the diet are perfectly fine, but also consider the native sugar content. Fruit should be a treat and an exception as rabbit food. Celery in the vegetable ration is, for example, suitable for adult animals in 1-2 cm pieces, is stomach-friendly, promotes tooth abrasion and completes a rabbit food.

Quantity calculations are important for adequate supply

You determine the feed quantities of all Mifuma rabbit foods correctly by considering the different life and performance phases. For all our products, we provide the quantities in grams of food per kilogram of body weight. The numbers given are to be understood as guidelines, as the rabbit's needs cannot be determined solely by body weight in practice. Depending on individual animal and stall-specific influences, the need for food can vary. A detailed overview of all quantity recommendations for Mifuma rabbit food can be found in our product brochure.
