Rodent and Small Animal Food

The food for guinea pigs, chinchillas, and dwarf rabbits provides a varied meal for every small animal. With the balanced feed mixes for rodents and dwarf rabbits, your small animal is ideally supplied. The diverse feed mixes made from pellets, herbs, flowers, vegetables, or flakes are gently produced, just like our pure pellet dry food, so that the nutrients in the individual ingredients are preserved and benefit the vitality of the small animals. With ingredients such as herbs, dried fruits and vegetables, and a high content of roughage, they protect the sensitive digestive system of dwarf rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and all other rodents. At the same time, our rodent food supports tooth abrasion. In addition to a natural diet of flowers, green food (grasses, fruits, vegetables, herbs), roots, fruits, and hay, the food completes your animals' diet with species-specific ingredients. Our feed varieties are tailored to the specific nutritional needs of small animals and offer variety and engagement. However, they should not be seen as complete feed but always as supplementary feed, at least with fresh hay. The ingredient combinations of selected grains, flowers, and seeds with vegetable flakes and grains in moderation not only bring fun to your little furry friend but also the right mix of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.

Rodent Food for Guinea Pigs

Guinea pigs are naturally herbivores. Therefore, their natural diet includes many plants and green food such as vegetables and herbs, as well as occasional roots. Their meals should be consumed in many small portions throughout the day. For a properly functioning digestion, the little rodents should always have food available that has a high roughage content. Nutrient- and roughage-rich hay is particularly suitable for this. This should always be available to guinea pigs, clean and fresh. But fresh rodent food such as vegetables and herbs, along with dry food, should be part of every meal. With its vitamins, fruit can also be very useful but should only be used as a reward and not as a permanent rodent food due to its sometimes high sugar content. For a complete diet and health, it is important that small animals absorb many nutrients; vitamin C, D, and B are just as essential as minerals, proteins, and trace elements. Every pet owner should pay attention to this when composing small animal food. Supplementary food and additives are also suitable for enhancement. You should definitely ensure a sufficiently high vitamin C content in the food. All Mifuma food for guinea pigs offers this to your rodents.

Rodent Food for Your Chinchillas

Chinchillas are demanding animals that prefer a buffet of plants, vegetables, fruits, and herbs - but all in moderation. The components of chinchillas' diet consist mainly of hay. This should always be available to the magnificent animals, fresh and clean. To adequately supply the sensitive rodents, you need a small animal food that contains particularly nutrient-rich ingredients. Our Chincchilla Pellet is therefore particularly well-equipped and gently manufactured to preserve all nutrients. This rodent food contains, in addition to gently dried alfalfa, an extra dose of biotin for healthy skin and shiny fur. This special rodent food has the advantage for the demanding chinchillas that they safely and adequately absorb nutrients - without selecting and overeating.

Small Animal Food for Dwarf Rabbits

Dwarf rabbits naturally feed on grasses, fruits, and vegetables. Numerous small animal foods are adapted to the needs of dwarf rabbits. In our range, breeders and owners will find muesli and pellet dry food with ingredients such as structured alfalfa and parsley stems, carrot and pea flakes, and highly digestible grains such as oat and barley flakes. The particularly gently produced pellets have the advantage that even picky animals are safely and well supplied with important nutrients. Every owner also offers their animals different living conditions. This must be taken into account when feeding. To ideally supply your animals in every life situation, you will find the right food at Mifuma. We have developed our mixes so that they can be used both as a pure supplement to good hay and water, but also additionally combined with fresh green food. We are happy to assist you with advice and support. For each food, you will find a feeding recommendation per kilogram of your animal's body weight. If you feed fresh vegetables or occasionally fruit, adjust the feed quantities accordingly. However, care should be taken to gradually accustom the animals to fresh food and not to give them large amounts from one day to the next.

For each type of feed, we recommend that you weigh out the correct amount once so that you can develop a sense of how much feed to give. Our measuring cups are also helpful here. You can mark the appropriate amount on the cup yourself with a permanent marker so that your pet is not over- or underfed. And if you still have questions, please feel free to send a message to info@mifuma.de. We look forward to your questions.
